anyone else think it's weird how it costs 1.99¢ to make 1¢? (www.coinnews.net)

This report by CoinNews.net detailed the specific changes in price per unit for coinage like pennies, nickels, etc. Yet consistently, it costs more than the value of the coin to create that coin. How does that make any sense, and how’d we get here!? Thank goodness it’s finally less than 2¢ to make 1¢, though!
