'Hair Love' Studio Lion Forge Upbeat on Animation's Diversity (www.thewrap.com)

Lion Forge Animation’s debut film “Hair Love” won an Oscar and marked a watershed moment for the Black-owned studio and industry diversity.

Personally, I’m glad that the industry is finally embracing all off its audience members, rather than sticking only to “safe” options. In truth, showing more people like me, like others, and showing the diversity of our society invites new viewers in and makes the current ones appreciate it more. I’m excited to see what the future holds in animation!

Animation keeps getting better and better! Plus I love seeing diversity represented, it will be wonderful to see what else is created in the future.
