Ocarina Of Time Demo Fragments Reveal A Much Earlier Version Of The Game (kotaku.com)

Nintendo preservationists Forest of Illusion recently got their hands on a Nintendo 64 development cart containing what appears to be the demo version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time shown at the Space World ‘97 trade show. This early build includes maps, items, abilities, and even story beats that didn’t make it into the final release.

I’ve seen demos like this for Super Mario 64 as well, Nintendo works on games for so long, and it is so worth it!

Wow! Ocarina of Time is one of my all-time favorite Legend of Zelda games so it’s super cool to see the development stages of it where the map is so bare! I’ll have to look more into this 😀
